Watch It Work

See the machine fix a driveway.

And this is just one tool in our toolbox.

The Problem

Your driveway is worn out. We can fix it.

Most gravel driveways fail for the same reasons: poor base, no crown, no drainage, and the wrong stone on top. Adding another load of gravel won't fix it — it just buries the problem.

We rebuild the driveway from the base up, restoring proper shape and drainage so the surface stays smooth for years, not weeks.

  • Deep ruts that swallow tires
  • Potholes that keep coming back
  • Mud puddles after every rain
  • Weeds growing through the surface
  • Gravel washing into the lawn
  • Uneven crown and poor drainage
  • Washboard bumps that shake your car
  • High center humps between tire tracks
The Real Problem

Most ruts and potholes are a water problem.

Adding more gravel on top won't hold — the next hard rain just washes it away. We find where the water is coming from and fix that first. Then we rebuild your driveway with a crown so rain runs off to the sides, and pack it hard so it stays smooth.

Standing water

Water sitting in low spots softens the surface. Passing tires can turn those spots into potholes.

Running water

Water flowing down the driveway cuts channels and carries gravel away. The fix starts with giving it a better path.

Steep driveways fail first

On a hill, water picks up speed and carries the gravel to the bottom. We turn the water off the driving surface, shape the drive so it sheds to the sides, and pack it in layers so it holds the grade.

What We Do

Gravel driveways are all we do.

No asphalt. No concrete. No side jobs. One craft, done right.

Green Technology

Go green with We Fix Gravel Driveways.

Reduce, reuse, recycle — applied to your driveway. We restore the stone you already have instead of trucking in load after load of new gravel.

Recycling cuts the impact

A 450 hp dump truck burns roughly 675 hp over a 1.5-hour round trip just to deliver a single load of gravel.

A We Fix Gravel Driveways restoration is a different story: one specialized machine we designed and built in-house works the stone you already have — no quarrying, no blasting, no convoy of trucks backing up to your door.

What it takes to make new gravel

  1. 01Trees cleared from quarry land
  2. 02Rock drilled for blasting
  3. 03Repeated blasting to break it down
  4. 04Loaded into crushers
  5. 05Processed through crushers
  6. 06Hauled to storage areas
  7. 07Stockpiled
  8. 08Loaded onto ships, rail or trucks
  9. 09Final delivery to your driveway

Thousands of horsepower over many hours — before a single rock reaches your driveway.

We recycle your existing material with a specialized machine we designed and built in-house — most driveways are finished within a day.

Now that's green technology.

Weed Control

Chemical free grass and weed control.

Our process removes grass and weeds from your gravel surfaces without chemicals. This gives you the opportunity to control future growth using environmentally friendly solutions once the overgrown area has been addressed.

The cycle of grass and weeds growing and dying in your driveway actually promotes future growth — decomposing plants create topsoil, encouraging more weeds. We break that cycle by extracting them mechanically.

Mechanical Extraction

We remove grass and weeds mechanically so your driveway remains chemical free. Children and pets are never exposed to sprays or injections of weed control chemicals used by other companies.

Environmentally Friendly Maintenance

You can maintain your weed-free driveway using common eco-friendly solutions like vinegar, rock salt, and calcium chloride pellets — easily found online.

We remove grass and weeds from your gravel driveway without chemicals, giving you the opportunity to control future growth on your own.

Environmentally friendly solutions are available and effective once the overgrown area has been addressed. Remember — pieces of root and weed seeds remain that can sprout later. When grass and weeds die, they decompose and create topsoil that promotes even more growth. We break that cycle.

FAQ

Common questions, straight answers.

How long does a restoration take?

Most residential driveways are completed in a single day. Long rural drives or major drainage work may take two.

How much does it cost?

Every driveway is different. Estimates are always free and on-site so we can quote you accurately — no surprises later.

What kind of gravel do you use?

Most of the gravel your driveway needs can be reclaimed from the existing driveway. When new gravel does need brought in, we use a larger stone base with a smaller compacted stone cap.

How often will it need maintenance?

A properly restored driveway with good drainage usually goes 3–5 years before needing a light refresh — far longer than a quick gravel dump.

Do you install brand-new driveways?

Yes. New gravel installs are a core part of our work, from short residential drives to long rural lanes.

Do I need to buy more gravel before you visit?

Not yet. A driveway that looks bare may still have valuable gravel buried beneath the surface. We assess what can be reclaimed first, then explain whether any new stone is needed. When it is, we use a larger stone base with a smaller compacted stone cap.

What is a driveway crown?

A crown is a gentle rise in the center of the driveway that helps rain drain toward the sides. It is not a tall hump between tire tracks. Proper shaping creates a smooth driving surface while giving water somewhere to go.

What is the difference between grading and compaction?

Grading shapes the driveway so it is smooth and water can drain away. Compaction packs the gravel together for a firmer driving surface. They do different jobs: good shape helps move water off the driveway, while well-packed gravel helps the surface hold together.

Why do potholes return after I fill them with gravel?

Loose gravel can fill the hole without fixing why it formed. If water still collects there or the base is soft, tires can push the stone aside and the hole comes back. We look at the base, the driveway's shape and where the water goes before deciding how to repair it.

What should I tell you when requesting an estimate?

Include your property address, the approximate driveway length and the problems you notice, such as potholes, soft spots or washouts. Mention where water collects after rain. These details help us understand your driveway before our free on-site visit, where we assess the existing gravel, drainage and repair needs.
